An eligible foreign full-time employee with at least one year of continuous service generally accrues gratuity at 21 days of basic pay for each of the first five years and 30 days for each later year, subject to the statutory limits.
Practical steps
Use the final basic salary and exclude unpaid absences from the service calculation. Check for a substitute savings scheme or different employment regime before calculating the final amount.
